IF YOU ARE GOING TO TALK ABOUT PERFORMANCE, YOU HAVE TO MENTION TIME AS WELL.

Updated: Jun 30, 2022

It is a common wrongful approach that project control reports usually represents one side of the story. The Good Rule Is That, If you are going to dedicate your report to catch the progress performance, then you have to assign a place to talk a little bit about time, and visa versa.

How you are going to do this!?

the above dashboard is a good example of how you can do this. More than 66% of the dashboard is dedicated to the performance show up, but in the left side, there will exist the basic information regarding the time control. Accordingly, if a reader will see the SPI with a low of 0.95, for example, then he will understand that there is a deficiency in the progress that is matching -60 days delays that is shown in the right part of the dashboard.

What else?

If you are working in a project that is divided into more than one or two packages, it is recommended to add the status of each package in your main dashboard; preferably if you can show the status represented by chart like the one shown in the above dashboard.
